Help me give my students a color printer to make their stories come alive! In our autistic support classroom, storytelling comes naturally. Through my students' stories, I get to step into their imagination.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is full of smart, intelligent, and fun individuals who have Autism.
Together we conquer Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Social Skills, and so much more.
The education I provide is a mix of intervention and grade-level materials. We are a family since many of my students will spend 3 years in my classroom. Our school is located in The Philadelphia School District.
My Project
We will use the printer to print stories written by students as well as their illustrations. My students will be able to keep their work when it is printed.
I have found that writing is a channel that helps my students express what they are going through or share their imagination.
Many of my students are also artists and love using websites to illustrate their writing. We can only share them on the whiteboard at this time, but with a printer, my student's art can be part of their permanent product!
