My students are military dependents that are always moving around. They have seen the best and the worse of classes and I want to be able to allow them to enjoy this school and my classroom and have fun learning, as you don't know where they will get stationed next.
I teach First Grade in a Title 1 school where 99% of our population is military students.
I have 24 students and most of my students have one parent who is deployed, and some have both parents deployed. The school I teach in is in a rural area, lacking technology.
My Project
By having a listening station in my classroom I will be able to have students enjoy learning and want to learn. This station is a fun station that all the students will vie for time at. I love to see students enjoy learning and this station will allow learning to be fun.
I feel this project is important, as our military members aren't always able to afford to fund for school projects.
They serve our country daily and our military children deserve to be afforded the best school supplies to learn with.
