My students need your support to purchase hygiene and food products to make and deliver packages to those that are experiencing homelessness around Crystal Lake.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce my students and this special project we are hoping you can help us fund!
My students are 5th graders who have chosen to be part of the Kindness Club.
We are a school in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Over half of the student population lives in a low-income household. However, that does not stop them from wanting to make a difference right in their own neighborhoods. With this funded project, students will help those that are less fortunate. Students will use the items that are funded, to make bags for those that are experiencing homelessness.
Many of my fifth grade students might not have an abundance of financial resources, but what they do have is an abundance of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and helping others.
My Project
I am running an after-school Kindness Club. The students involved in the club will be making our school and local community better, by helping others through Random Acts of Kindness. One "mission" that our club will be working on, is collecting hygiene essentials for students that, unfortunately, do not have them at home, as well as those that are at the local homeless shelter.

We believe that supporting our local homeless shelter and disadvantaged families will give them strength to have a better day and better life!
We need hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, wash clothes, and soap. We are also asking for healthy snacks for those that are less fortunate.
We will be putting together packages and making cards that contain inspirational messages to instill belief in the less fortunate that they are valuable and they deserve basic necessities!
