Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The musicians at our high school are talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated. It is a joy and honor to work with them every day.

However, somedays our rehearsals can get bogged down by making sure our equipment is in working condition.

Over time drum heads wear out, sticks break, practice pads go missing. Every minute a student is searching for that missing item is a minute they aren't learning.

The equipment I am requesting are consumable percussion items for my band and drumline classes and marching slings for snare and bass drums. This gear will help my students sound their best and spend their time playing instead of dealing with extra hurdles.

Please help me give my students drum heads, marching slings, and other percussion equipment they need to keep making music!
