This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help our special education adult students run their coffee shop more efficiently by providing them with an ice machine. With this addition, they'll enhance their skills while offering refreshing drinks to our school staff community.
We are a special education program that focuses on providing adult students with real-life skills to promote independence and success.
Our student-run coffee shop offers a hands-on learning experience, where students practice customer service, money management, and teamwork. With your help, we can improve our shop and allow our students to further develop their vocational skills. By adding an ice machine, our students will gain a broader range of vocational skills. They'll learn how to prepare and serve a wider variety of drinks, enhancing their interactions with customers. This experience is invaluable as it will better prepare them for future jobs in food service and beyond. Moreover, offering cold beverages will increase the popularity of the coffee shop, giving students more opportunities to practice their skills in a real-world setting.
