My Project

My 5th grade class is an absolute blast! These children are hardworking, kind, and intelligent! Each one of them has their own individual learning styles, yet they are able to consistently work in a cohesive group. They are always there to lend a helping hand to a peer in their classroom or another child in the building.

An interest in STEAM is such an important part of education!

The materials that I have chosen will not only help to deepen my students understanding of Science and Math but also build their interests in other areas.

The Math Manipulatives chosen will be used throughout the year, both in groups and individually, to give my students a solid foundation in understanding fractions. The document camera is a tool that I can use to project these manipulatives on the board so all students can see and follow along at once! Knowing and understanding current events is also extremely important in education. The TIME Magazines chosen will serve as a way for students to immerse themselves in more Non-Fiction Texts while also learning more about the STEAM world!
