This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our young musicians are in grades 9 through 12 and eager to further their musical education. They have elected to pursue band as their gateway to music education.

Our school is transitioning into a performing arts magnet school, so music will be the school's focus, but additional funding is necessary for this magnet endeavor to be successful.

For many students, equipment is key to gaining these new musical experiences. Your donations will help this performing arts school happen and provide students with a bright future!

My Project

My music students are improving in leaps and bounds but there is allows room for improvement. We currently lack a great mobile system for students to record themselves.

This technology is critical to student growth.

With this recorder, students can hear how they actually sound. From there, students can critique themselves and create a goal for practice to improve over time. We will also be able to record our larger ensembles, upload audio to google classroom and have discussions about what we hear. This can be done outside of the class time thus, saving valuable rehearsal time and allowing my students to improve even more.
