This is my first year teaching and I have fallen absolutely in love with this profession as well as my students. I have a class full of loving, sweet, energetic students; who for the most part are willing to help out their fellow peers. I do have a few rowdy ones, but still mean well. Our goal in our classroom is that we come to school to learn and have fun. We have to try everyday and always give it our best. My students are really good at always trying. We talk about not always getting everything right, but trying. To me, in Kindergarten that is the most important part, learn to never give up!
My students are also learning how to be kind and caring people.
We talk daily about using kind words and being friends with everyone. We are a family! I try to encourage them to play with new friends and cheer on our class through everything. To me, it's so important that our students learn how to be good people and care for others.
My Project
While teaching Kindergarten I have learned that we have to make our teaching fun and hands-on. As a first year teacher, most of the ideas or items in my classroom come from my own pocket. By helping me with these items you will be able to help my students learn that learning can be fun and inviting. This can help them learn to love school and carry on with them in their future!
By helping provide the 3-D shapes this will help my students be able to hold and feel the differences in the different types of shapes.
This can help them recall other items that have seen that might be that shape and help them understand how 2-D shapes are different from 3-D shapes.
With providing the erasers for the white boards this will help my students from getting their clothes or hands filthy from cleaning their boards so much.
The Geobaords will be create for so many reasons. Students will be able to make different shapes with them, letters, and even help with fine motor skills. This will be used constantly in my classroom.
