While teaching Kindergarten I have learned that we have to make our teaching fun and hands-on. As a first year teacher, most of the ideas or items in my classroom come from my own pocket. By helping me with these items you will be able to help my students learn that learning can be fun and inviting. This can help them learn to love school and carry on with them in their future! By helping provide the 3-D shapes this will help my students be able to hold and feel the differences in the different types of shapes. This can help them recall other items that have seen that might be that shape and help them understand how 2-D shapes are different from 3-D shapes. With providing the erasers for the white boards this will help my students from getting their clothes or hands filthy from cleaning their boards so much. The Geobaords will be create for so many reasons. Students will be able to make different shapes with them, letters, and even help with fine motor skills. This will be used constantly in my classroom.
