it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students
My students are from an urban area where their starting point in life is dramatically behind their suburban peers. They often don't have the funds for basic necessities needed to succeed in school.
They also have special needs, which requires even more supplies and learning materials to reach the level of their general education peers.
They often have parents who aren't present, come from homeless shelters, or live in situations where they aren't able to afford supplies. With a little help from kind donors, you can make their educational experience more rewarding.
My Project
My students need the healthy snacks and toiletries to get through the rest of the school year.
Many of them lose focus because of hunger and sometimes lack the basic hygiene products needed for growing bodies.
The snacks, such as granola bars, nuts, chips, and juice will help them stay focused through the 2nd semester and not deal with being hungry because of missed breakfast or lunch. This will help foster academic achievement. Growing teens always have growing hunger!
The personal hygiene products such as deodorant, toothpaste, sanitary products, etc. are needed especially as we move towards the warmer spring months.
These essentials go fast in a a High School, and are very much appreciated and needed.
