My students will be able to start the school year off right with composition books, 3 different globes, copy paper, oil pencils, #2 pencils, ball pens, and other of these basic supplies and relieve some of the anxiety they have because of not having everything they need. I will not have to see their face fall when I tell them what their parents need (but most often can't) buy. My heart (and pocket) breaks when they pull me aside and tell me why they have no notebooks or pencils. I would like they to focus on learning this year and not on what they can not afford. These children deserve the tools needed to reach their full potential.
