This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My EBD class is a work in progress, where overcoming challenges and hurdles are celebrated everyday.

Students spend all day with me learning social and academic skills.

Our school is a Title I school that is in an at-risk and low-income neighborhood. My students come from diverse backgrounds; the majority are Hispanic or African American. A little less than half of my students are limited English proficient and exceptional education students. Many come from single parent households or families that are in transition. We work very hard to overcome all of these challenges. My students have the exact same eagerness to learn science as their peers in more affluent schools. Unfortunately, the school's resources and technology are very important.

My Project

Imagine the difficulty in my classroom working with 12 self-contained students who love to do research and complete hands-on projects, but the printer and the laminator is shared by 4 teachers and students do not have access to it.

Student are force to travel to the public library to print and laminate, where they have to pay at their parents expense.

The lazer printer and laminator will help me alleviate the stress of the parents and students. Your donations to this project will allow all students the chance to print and laminate to showcase their work with out needing to spend extra money. This opportunity will enhance students' ability to be responsible by turning in their work and providing them with the tools to be successful.
