My Students

Please help my students learn grammar through age appropriate lessons.

I teach a fabulous group of second graders in a diverse, urban school in Brooklyn.

They love sock monkeys, kazoos, dancing, learning about artists, writing, learning about New York City and reading. They are funny and curious. They love expanding their vocabulary and they love learning more about the world around them.

My Project

With a full schedule, grammar definitely is a subject that has to be squeezed into our day. These Grammar, Usage and Mechanics books would be a fantastic resource for my class. The book is broken up into short, weekly lessons. I would be able to teach explicit skills each week and my students would be able to practice in the workbooks. I would have everything I needed to teach grammar right at my fingertips!
