My students are a special, charming group of kids who teach me as much as I teach them.
All of my students are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and all of my students are amazing, dynamic learners.
Some like to learn in small groups, some learn 1-1, while others need their lessons embedded into fun, meaningful play activities. We rotate through five different language based stations a day, where IEP goals are woven into the fabric on standards-based instruction.
My Project
My student, her brother (both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder) and her parents are homeless at the moment. Dad takes care of all four members of his family.
They are in need of immediate help with clothes and food.
The parents are working hard in getting out of this situation so they appreciate any help and relief we can provide them. I am just asking for shoes, clothes, and food for my student, although her brother will benefit from your donation as well. My student needs shoes for the summer and next winter like boots, running shoes and sandals. She also needs clothes for all seasons and non-perishable food like cereal bars, healthy snacks, and milk.
My student is a beautiful 7 year old girl who works tirelessly in the classroom. She improves every day with her speech, socialization, and academics. Her parents are very dedicated to both their children and are very appreciative of all the support we can provide them with.
