Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second grade students are creative, thoughtful and loving! They have a wide variety of needs and come from all cultures, areas, and various incomes. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies such as group work, and alternative seating to ensure that each student's needs are met.
They enjoy hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box!
My students come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
My Project
Scholastic Science Spin will be used for interactive and exciting science instruction. The sharpies, pencils, glue sticks, and scissors will be used for interactive notebooks in science and social studies. The primary composition notebooks and paper will allow students to write self-narratives, and more! Flex-space wobble cushions, and soft seat will allow for flexible seating. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. The paper trays will help us to organize homework, notes, and other assignments.
