Help My First Graders Build, Create, and Explore!

Help me give my students STEM games that will enhance their learning with hands-on activities.

Ms. Johnson East Lake Elementary School
Orlando, FL Grades PreK-2

My Project

My students need hands-on STEM games and activities that will encourage them to think critically, solve problems, build, and learn through play!

First graders are naturally curious and eager to discover how things work.

They love to ask questions, experiment with new ideas, and find creative solutions to challenges. I want to provide my students with engaging STEM games and activities that turn learning into an exciting, hands-on experience.

With your support, I hope to provide our classroom with a variety of STEM games, building activities, engineering challenges, and problem-solving materials. These resources will give students opportunities to practice important skills such as critical thinking, spatial reasoning, measurement, patterns, sequencing, and logical thinking while having fun.

My students will work independently, with partners, and in small groups as they complete STEM challenges. They will learn how to communicate their ideas, listen to others, work as a team, and persevere when a challenge doesn't work the first time. These experiences help students understand that mistakes are an important part of learning.

For many of my students, classroom resources may be their primary opportunity to experience hands-on STEM materials. Having these games and activities available in our classroom will ensure that every student has the opportunity to explore, create, and learn.

Your donation will help my first graders build, experiment, problem-solve, and discover while developing skills that will support them throughout their education. Most importantly, these STEM activities will help my students become confident thinkers who are excited to learn.

Thank you for helping my first graders become creative problem-solvers and little STEM thinkers!
