This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English Language Learners who come from low income families. While learning English, I would like to expose them to new vocabulary through hands on artifacts. The props will allow the students to see and touch the vocabulary words we are learning. Students will use the props for dramatic play while learning to speak English. I teach a Unit on Stone Soup, the food props will be used to act out the story. I teach a Unit About the Farm, the farm animals will allow students to ask and answer questions about the animals that live on a farm For example: What is the name of the animal?, It's color?, and What is the color of the animal? Another Unit I teach is Peter the Wolf, the instruments will allow students to explore them in 3D form.
