I teach a group of 17 first grade students at Belle Elementary School. My students attend a low-income/high poverty school and they are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Because of living in a low-income area, our funding is scarce. Even though they are living in a low income area, all of my students are creative and eager to learn. Each of them have a unique voice and everyone in the room must respect it. Creating a community in our classroom is essential for the students to take risks and have deeper learning.
By supporting our project of purchasing Koss headphones, students will be able to focus more on their online learning. We are hoping to get working headphones for all of the chrome books in my classroom. Students are currently having to stop in the middle of their learning because of headphones breaking or malfunctioning. They will use these new headphones with chrome books on a daily basis in my classroom. They use them for programs such as Iready, Raz-kids, and prodigy math.
Students have achieved great amounts of learning from using these programs.
They will benefit from being able to continue using these programs with headphones that work properly. Thank you for your support towards this classroom project!
