Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our music students use the pianos and piano keyboards that we currently have at the same time in our music classes. With more students interested in learning how to play piano, we are running out of pianos.

We are requesting more piano keyboards to allow more piano students to play piano at the same time in many of the music classes.

The donations will help to continue to let our music program grow and welcome more music students. In addition to using pianos in advanced band and advanced orchestra for pop and jazz songs, we are adding both a piano class and an after school piano club next year to accommodate the students that want to focus on piano. This will serve a different population of music students and will let more students join the music program. Our music program helps middle school students have a positive place to work and belong, helps students cooperatively work with one another, and helps students focus and concentrate in addition to fostering creativity and a lifetime appreciation for the arts.
