Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Mr. Teacher, may I borrow a pencil?"... "Me too."....."Me too."...."Me too." My students need basic school supplies and materials.
Our school is located in a highly populated urban area, where the children are constantly faced with challenges outside of school.
My student population is very diverse, from all walks of life, but they are determined to succeed at all costs. With a solid combination of proper guidance and education, they can succeed.
My Project
I became a teacher to inspire children to reach beyond the furthest star in the sky and to create the change they want to see in this world. With very basic materials and a dedicated educator, every child can succeed. My students have that dedicated educator and all they need is the basic materials.
I have specifically requested rulers, pencils, erasers, and graph paper for everyday use. These items are basic, yet essential for student success. The math reference posters that would assist students lacking fundamental math skills, specifically multiplication, basic math symbols, and problem solving strategies.
Please help me in making a difference in my students lives.
