This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is made up of students who are immigrants and refugees from all around the world. All of my students are English Language Learners and have recently moved to America. This means that a handful of languages could be spoken in my classroom at any given time!

They are hard-working and eager to learn and could benefit so much from your help!

In some cases, this is the child's first formal schooling. It is so important that the students have all that they need to be as successful as possible at school.

My Project

This easel will be so helpful in our classroom!

When students are on the carpet during a lesson, the easel will be used during direct instruction and guided practice.

We will use the easel during morning meeting, math, and language arts!

After the lesson, the easel can be used to create and display anchor charts for students to refer to during workshop time. Another added bonus is that this easel is on wheels! This means that it will also be used during small group instruction. It will move easily around the room between the carpet and the kidney table for use all throughout the day.
