I like to join students on the rug in class for morning meetings and story time while sitting on the wobble stool myself! What a joyous and impactful learning experience this has been for all of the students at NCNAA! Please take a look at the photos uploaded to see the happiness this mural has brought.\r\n\r\nAlmost all students in the school (nearly 500!) had some hand in creating and interacting with the mural, including designing, painting, and observing the process. The students started the mural process by sketching and choosing a design, priming the wall, tracing shadows, and finally painting in the shadows, background rainbow, and topcoat. And of course, everyone was involved in our favorite part of the process... clean- up! ; )\r\n\r\nSince completing the mural, students have had such fun picking their favorite shadow, using the flood lights to create additional shadows, and interacting with each figure.\r\n\r\nA second mural is in the works and will be completed this fall. The second mural was initially to be in a kindergarten classroom, but unfortunately this mural idea had to be modified due to school changes. I have purchased a large mural canvas to allow for the second mural to be completed and placed in an alternative space. The end of the school year is near, so this mural will be painted by students during the 2025-2026 school year.\r\n\r\nAs always, thank you for your amazing support. Your contributions have helped to bring a meaningful and impactful learning experience to the students at NCNAA.
