Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is undergoing some big changes due to redistricting this year. Our school will be made up of 90% hispanic students, and 75% of our students will be ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students. We are also a Title I school, 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Some may see these demographics as a challenge, but I see it as an opportunity to make a significant difference!

These students require a great deal of support, both academically and emotionally. I am honored to be given the chance to do just that.

My Project

I want my students to love learning as much as I love teaching. I pour my heart into learning best practices and trying new ways to make learning exciting.

The Get Your Teach On conference features some of the most knowledgable, celebrated, and engaging teachers in the country.

Rather than have my school pay for me to attend - I chose to reach out to you. This way, another teacher from our school can attend - and even more students can be impacted.

Our students face many challenges - in order to help keep them focused on their learning, I need to provide high quality lessons that are also engaging and relevant to their lives. Your donations will go directly to the registration of this conference. This conference will help me add to my toolbox and will impact every student I teach for the rest of my career. Additionally, I love sharing what I learn with other teachers - so I hope that their students and future students will also be impacted for years to come.
