Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try!" Students in my classroom are eager to learn, passionate, and hard-working. They are an extension of my family; they inspire me every single day. I want to encourage them to try their best, learn from their mistakes and start to see their full potential.
My class thrives on hands-on, engaging activities that fun, new, and transform their classroom to a different place.
I would love to be able to be able to transformation my room in order to bring the level of engagement to an all time high!
My Project
I want to be able to "set the stage to engage" by transforming my classroom into a neon wonderland. This will be my first attempt at a classroom transformation and I am excited to provide this engaging experience for my students.
Students will review literacy, math, and science concepts all while playing fun and engaging games and activities that "glow in the dark"!
Using the backlights, I can have students find the area of different glow in the dark squares and rectangles. Next, students will use highlighters in order to create neon poetry using book pages to create unique poems. The tape will be used to label all of the stations and game. The ring toss will add an extra element of fun for the students. Finally, students will discover which liquids glow under blacklight and use their knowledge of physical properties to explain why. I am excited to transform my classroom!
