This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day my students strive to do their best to learn and grow. We work hard to build language, engagement, and social skills. Having an exciting and well-developed environment that supports our learning helps us grow!

We are a happy and enthusiastic special needs preschool class with students who love to sing, dance, play and laugh.

We love to read and act out stories. Having materials to capture and maintain our attention and engage us helps us to build language and social skills.

My Project

Having age appropriate big books and storytelling activity kits will build needed literacy skills in all of my students. Being able to access familiar stories and retell them using props will help us practice retelling skills, make the stories come to life, and be lots of fun.

Having a classroom library filled with a variety of big books and story-retell props will enhance our learning.

We would love to boost our story time by incorporating new books and hands on materials. Big books and retell props will allow us to enhance our interest, participation and engagement. These are priceless learning opportunities. Language and social skills are major components to a child's set of coping tools. Any improvement to our literacy skills is adding to their future success.
