Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hands-on activities and projects are the best way to engage kids in their learning. My students love to use their imaginations to create all sorts of colorful art projects and projects. Having art supplies in our classroom allows me to integrate art into all of the different subjects.

Allowing kids to demonstrate their learning through art projects can encourage self-expression and creativity and can build confidence as well as a sense of individual identity.

The different supplies listed will be used for a variety of lessons throughout the year. The paint brushes, paints, and palettes will be used in science to demonstrate topics like photosynthesis and energy transfer. The flair pens and neon oil pastels can be used for posters, drawings, and illustrations in both reading, social studies, and math.

In addition, twice a month I will teach my class a different art lesson using different types of mediums. Adding these lessons to their existing curriculum will help introduce them to problem-solving techniques and can help them see the world in different ways.
