Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

There are 25 beautiful and brilliant students in my kindergarten classroom. Most of the children in my classroom have not attended preschool, so this is their first experience in a classroom. Some of our children face many changes in and outside the classroom.

Along with school being a new experience for most of the children, about half of my class has entered our school system from other countries during this school year and are learning English.

I love my kindergarten students, and you would, too!

My Project

My students come to school each day with a love for learning! They come from one of the poorest neighborhoods in our city, but always they come into school with a smile and a hug. I would love nothing more then to make our classroom environment shine with new tables.

The tables we have now are old, stained, and mismatched.

As much as we clean and scrub them they are stained with markers, pen, and paint from over the many years they have been used.

I know our students this year and years to come will really appreciate and enjoy new matching tables. The tables will make our classroom feel clean, safe, and welcoming!
