This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The kids in our school love to learn, but we don't always have what we need for our lessons. Most of my students (90%) live far below the poverty line. This makes the job of a school even more important.

The students we teach are living in poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

They have big dreams, but they need to work hard now. They want to become scientists, artist, and mathematicians. Help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

The kids in my class like math, but I want them to LOVE it. The problem is mastering math takes a lot of work.

But, with your help kids will have a HUGE box of math tools to help them with tricky concepts like multiplication and fractions!

These math tools will transform our class. You are sending us fraction dice, hundreds charts, math dominoes, multiplication games. We can ditch the repetitive worksheets and let kids learn with hands-on lessons. They will be able to truly understand math instead of just memorizing steps. It is so important for kids to see themselves as mathematicians when they are young. With your help, we can do just that!
