This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
If you want to see terrific kids, help fund our project and see the pictures of my class. These children are so fun-loving and full of life. Each day, not only are they learning, I am also learning new things from them.
Many of these children come from low-income homes.
It is very hard for them to get supplies and the items they need to help them in life. They deserve to have the very best. They attend a wonderful school; however, like many schools, money has become an issue.
My Project
One day a few parents were saying there children were becoming sick with colds. One of the parents say they give there child two vitamins a day and they haven’t been sick all year. The other parents were telling each other that they could afford $20 per month per kid to give them these vitamins. I knew I had to try to find the vitamins and try to get them for these children. They also need toothpaste and flushable wipes. At times it’s hard for the children to use toilet paper because it doesn’t clean them enough. Flushable wipes will help keep them clean.
