I am a third-year, PreK teacher and will have 16 incredible student explorers. My students will spend their school year ready to explore through play and guidance.
My children are between the ages of 4 and 5 years old, and they need hands-on experiences in order to understand their world and many don't always come to school fully rested or have enough food in their bellies.
As a teacher of young minds, I vow to provide the best school that I can, no matter what challenges are put in front of us. I will create a loving learning environment where my students can and will thrive.
My Project
As a teacher of the youngest students in an elementary school, it is my job to make sure that I keep them as safe as I can during Covid times. This means that my students must have their masks correctly and at all times throughout the day. I underestimated just how many masks 4-year-olds would go through each day. If the mask gets wet from the inside, sweat, boogies, and/or spit, my students refuse to wear it. Many times the mask gets torn from their own face and damaged in the process of removing it themselves.
I am reaching out for help to make sure that our classroom never runs out of masks because when it comes down to it, it could mean life or death.
We would keep these children-sized masks in our masking area, and children would have access to comfortable, dry, and safe masks when they needed one. It would take such a weight off of my shoulders to know that we had enough to keep my 16 students safe for an extended period of time. Thank you for considering supporting this project.
