Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach amazing high school English language learners, many of whom are new to the United States. My students are adapting to their new school and environment, and it is my responsibility to help them acclimate.

I want to nurture their love of learning by making my classroom all-inclusive for all of my students.

These are really great and eager learners. I would love to give them the chance to learn in a classroom that is as diversified and unique as each one of them. In my classroom, my students are like my own. I encourage them to be the best version of themselves and to always try their best as they assimilate into their new roles!

My Project

As our students return to school, all safety protocols are being followed and put in place by our district. We trust that everything is being done to keep our students safe and healthy. As a teacher and parent I would like to add one additional step in safeguarding my students' materials. By providing my students individualized storage pouches, it will help maintain cleanliness, organization and private storage for their materials, that each student will leave in school for their own use. These storage pouches will only be used by the students and they will have their own personal items.
