I am a brand new preschool teacher and have 16 incredible student explorers. My students will spend this school year ready to explore through play and guidance.
The children are 4 years old and need hands-on experiences in order to understand their world.
All of my babies come from low-income homes and may have more challenges than most other 4 years olds. No matter what their home lives may be, I vow to provide the best Pre-K experience that I can. I want to strive to make my room safe, engaging, and fun.
My Project
I teach the most incredible group of 4 year olds that exist. Each day I greet each of them with the biggest smile, hug, and kind words because I'm sure many of them haven't received those since they left my classroom the day before. My students are all high needs students who come from low income families with many challenges. One of those challenges is not enough food.
Please help me keep our Brain Food Station stocked so that no child's belly keeps them from learning and growing.
Each day I make sure that our "Brain Food" station is supplied with easy to grab and eat snacks that all the children are able to eat at any time. On my salary alone it is hard to make sure they have a variety of snacks to keep them from ever being too hungry to learn. This is where I need your help!
I want my students to be able to come to school and focus on learning all they need to in order to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. That ache in their bellies that causes them to not be able to focus should never exist!
