My students need ten books, including Owl Moon, Tuesday, and One Fine Day, educational and interactive games, such as Connect Four, Twister and Guess Who Game and craft supplies, markers, sequins and construction paper.
I am a Special Education teacher in an autism strand classroom, and I am working to set up an educational and fun environment for my students.
I have six amazing third and fourth graders who are diagnosed with autism.
This year in my classroom, they are learning functional academic skills and how to become active members in their community. They love to learn about animals, sing songs, do art projects, and play on the playground together.
My Project
My students need ten books, including Owl Moon, Tuesday, and One Fine Day, educational and interactive games, such as Connect Four, Twister and Guess Who Game and craft supplies, markers, sequins and construction paper. This is my first year in this classroom, and I would love to add more materials that my students can benefit from and enjoy. They love to read (or listen to) the books that we have, so I would like to introduce them to some new stories.
They also love to play games together, which helps build important skills like turn-taking and sharing. They specifically asked me for Twister! Finally, they love doing arts and crafts on Fridays to celebrate the end of a successful week so I'd like to have more materials to plan new projects.
Your donations will help me build a more engaging and educational classroom for my students.
They come in every day ready to learn and grow, and I would love the chance to give them new books, games, and crafts to explore, all of which will enhance their learning and their socialization!
