Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students work hard and take action to become teachers, not just any teacher, but a well prepared, committed, engaging, skilled, effective, and creative teacher. They study historical accounts of educators who came before them so they can understand the business of education and understand how deeply schools impact society.
My students are the future of education in Nevada.
They are full of excitement for their future and the future of the next generation of learners. Please help us by funding our project and making their career dreams and goals come true.
My Project
Nevada is facing a shortage of teachers and struggles to keep the ones they have. My high school is one of only ten schools working with Nevada State College to cultivate secondary students' interests in the teaching profession and grow the number of local, culturally-responsive teachers who serve within our community. My students are the future teachers in the Clark County school district. They are college and career ready and want to give back to the community who made their education possible. Please help us purchase the Circut heat press and other supplies to create t-shirts to wear at family and community events to promote and grow our program.
