Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third graders learn best when they can actively participate in lessons. Instead of only writing in notebooks, my students can show their thinking, revise their answers, and engage in hands-on learning during both whole-group and small-group instruction.

In our classroom, we frequently work together to solve problems, respond to reading questions, and practice writing skills.

Having dry erase materials will allow every student to actively participate without worrying about making mistakes. Students will be able to write, erase, and try again as they practice important reading, writing, and math skills.

With the help of this project, our classroom will receive dry erase markers, erasers, plastic sleeves, folders, and plastic envelopes. The paper sleeves will allow students to place worksheets inside and reuse them with dry erase markers during lessons. This makes learning more interactive and also allows us to reuse materials many times. The folders and plastic envelopes will help keep students’ work organized during small-group rotations and centers. These items will help students keep track of their learning materials as they move through different activities.

Your support will help create a classroom where every student can actively participate, take risks, and learn from mistakes. Something as simple as a dry erase marker can make a huge difference in helping students feel confident sharing their thinking.
