Help Give Healthy Snacks to Student Athletes

My students need 4 blenders so we can make healthy, delicious smoothies to celebrate our victories.

Help fuel our student-athletes! I am an English, history and journalism teacher and when I'm not teaching, I help advise our sports academy and coach girls and boys sports teams. I love working at this urban public school that is a microcosm of our city's racial, cultural and socioeconomic diversity.

Our student athletes walk to 7-11 or Jack in the Box nearly everyday for snacks. They are active kids with busy lives and they need a healthier alternative to fuel their growing bodies.

After big victories we celebrate with pizza and soda, but I'd love to provide a healthier, delicious snack instead. I want students to see just how easy it is to make delicious, nutritious snacks that will provide them with increased energy and stronger bodies. We need four blenders to create healthy smoothies for students to enjoy instead of sugary sodas. Students will be able to make their own batches in three blenders along with me as I model the recipe and voila! Delicious, nutritious snack for all.
