My Project

I would like to start off our school day by doing "soft starts."

Soft starts are a way for my students to make connections, communicate, and be creative at the start of the day.

Once students complete their daily math warm-up, they will have a chance to work in small groups or independently on daily challenges using tools such as magnets, scramble puzzles, and magnetic builders. This will help get their brains moving and their minds thinking. It will let them interact with their peers by playing Rush Hour or solving a puzzle together.

Soft start will help build community by allowing students to work together in small groups with things that they like to do and allows time for collaboration and discussion about things that they may have in common.

Soft starts will give the students an engaging activity that will get their minds ready for learning. This is a great way to get our brains warmed up and ready for a productive day of learning!
