Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working. The area is at-risk educationally. Most students will be the first students to finish high school in their family. We are trying to show the students that there are more opportunities in the world than just their little neighborhood. The students need to stay abreast with technology skills and current scholastic events. We are trying to help our students to prepare for college after high school. We are hoping that this grant will help us to achieve this goal.
My Project
My students will enhance their learning experience with a monthly subscription to Scholastic Action. They will learn about current events and the correct way to use the English language. We are trying to prepare our students for college because we feel that they will achieve a better quality life. We also would like to enhance our students learning of technology by providing 18 USB wired optical mice to help with their everyday educational goals. We feel that students today need to know how to use technology to get well paying jobs and a better quality of life. Our students will be able use the knowledge they acquire across all academic genres. This is our hope for our students.
