They are really enjoying individual, independent reading time and a lot of it has to do with them feeling comfortable using the new colorful cushions. They look forward to being able to read in their books and get out of their desks to spend time in small groups reading or independently reading. \r\n\r\nThe other major Supply addition that this order included was a huge box of already sharpened pencils. This has been a huge positive change in our classroom because students are able to access pencils on demand without worrying about a sharpener or interrupting the lesson. We have had sharpeners break throughout the school year and many students coming without pencils to class. Now there is no worry or concern about who has remembered their supplies or more importantly for a parent or a student who doesn't have the money to purchase pencils.","fullyFundedDate":1734366787619,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-needed/9000971/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Needed!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lozano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9486485"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29809","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":228,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":21,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":68,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":29809,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Southwest Preparatory School-Southeast Campus on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Southwest Preparatory School-Southeast Campus","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/southwest-preparatory-school-se/29809"}
