This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I want to provide all my PreK Classrooms with high quality learning materials to increase our Bright Stars rating. By providing these materials, teachers can create a gold standard environment conducive to developmental gains. Every child deserves a safe, high quality environment. We want to give our students a warm, inviting and safe environment filled with materials that supports children's play.

With these materials, we will ensure a quality preschool environment that promotes our students' success in Kindergarten and years to come!

My Project

The materials chosen for this project will be used to replaces worn, unsafe furniture in our PreK classrooms. It will help create a warm, safe and high quality environment for our students to explore and play. The shelving will provide the teachers to create designated interest areas, such as math, science, writing, art and music for our students to access engaging materials. Having this furniture will help the classroom achieve a higher rating on the Bright Stars quality assessment.

The bean bag will be used as a social emotional tool which will allow students to have a quiet, comfortable area to relax, read a book or feel safe.
