Our PK-8 school is a welcoming place full of inquisitive students and supportive staff. Our library is one of the hearts of the school, with students stopping by before and after school, participating in lessons and checking out books from the teacher-librarian.
Our students come from different cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds, and our staff is dedicated to making all learners feel welcome and providing a safe and nurturing environment to help our students reach their highest potential.
Over the past few years, many library books have been lost. Absences, students moving homes, and other factors have led to some students having lost books on their accounts. Efforts are made to have the books replaced or fines paid. This fund would help replace some books for those who need support. Although most titles on the list are not the same as those we lost, the books on this list are high-interest, quality titles that will help build our collection.
Students with missing books who need support will be able to select one of these books to replace their missing books. Your generosity will help them as we work on building responsibility while also making our library the best it can be. The first two times I did this project, it was a great success, so I look forward to having more of these books to support students with lost materials this spring.
