This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Too many students are plagiarizing and not citing their sources; I'm trying to teach them to respect others' works!

I have a class full of English language learners who are trying their best to master a second language.

They come from low income families who are doing their best to give them a brighter future than their present surroundings. All parties involved have high expectations for these future leaders of tomorrow but fear we are failing them without the basic access to technology they so desperately need!

My Project

Many times my students turn to the Internet for assistance and end up plagiarizing without realizing how wrong it is. Without access to a printer, students are spending countless hours copying from the computer screen. As an educator, I know this isn't ideal but I do not have the funds to replace ink after I have spent hundreds of dollars each summer purchasing school supplies at the Back to School sales. I teach the importance of citing sources but many see it as their own writing since they have hand copied the author's writing word for word. Please help me change this!

This project is hopefully the first in many to bringing some desperately needed technology into my classroom.

My students need to acquire researching skills if they are to become the Class of 2022 and college bound!
