Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Often times what my students neglect is eating breakfast in the morning, and waiting until their lunch period is often a struggle. They always are seemingly comforted with a drink, a piece of candy, a chocolate bar or some savory treats! Snacks provide them with a little burst of energy!

Having snacks and water in my counseling safe space often allows the students to feel safe and comfortable.

All the comforts of food, water help ensure that the students' needs are met. When students feel safe and comfortable, they will be able to move forward in their school day.
