Creating a safe space for my students is essential for them to feel comfortable to express their feelings, challenges and traumatic experiences. My students' lives are filled with chaos, struggles and pain, and having a space where they can go and feel safe is one of the most important things in order for them to work through their emotional pain, and/or to simply just get through the school day. My students seek me out daily, even just to say hi, they know that I try my best to create a provide a safe space for them. I would like to create an even more comfortable and safe space for them, but I need your help to do so! Having a space with the comforts of a couch, pillows, snacks and refrigerated fresh drinks will help my students get through the day!
