Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our middle school is small and unique set in a farming community. We have a 90% Hispanic population. Many of our students are at or below the poverty line. All of our students receive free lunch, breakfast, and after school programs. These students and their families are some of the hardest working people that I have known.

We may be a small town, but we are far from ordinary!

Our students are curious, full of energy, and ready to work. They deserve the best out of us because they are ready to learn!

My Project

We are a very small school that needs an upgrade of our practice equipment. Our student-athletes are ready to take on the competition, however, they need new and safe equipment to do so.

Having new, safe, and state-approved equipment will better help our student-athletes prepare for competition with our neighboring schools.

It has been a long time since these student-athletes have been able to compete. The new equipment will give them an extra incentive to be involved in team sports and have team pride. LET'S GO BEARS!
