Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Football players, student-athletes at DPAC, a K-12 charter school in North Las Vegas. Many of the athletes on the team have about one year of football experience on average with at least a half-dozen who have never played before.

The kids are motivated and have been using very cheap and broken gear for the last few years and require better equipment to enhance our program to the level of competitiveness we desire to reach.

This equipment will allow our players to be able to compete at a higher level and also give them the confidence needed in life. We will use this equipment to build not only our scholar-athletes but also to build a community. Let's Go, Blue Knights!

The players are all very enthusiastic and ready to build something special, but they need a lot of financial support to achieve their goals.

My Project

Help us develop our disadvantaged athletes so that they can compete with teams that have equipment and facilities to train their athletes. This will allow fair competition for the athletes on the West side of Las Vegas where our facilities and equipment are sub par.

We are requesting a Jugs Field a football machine.

For years we have been using equipment that was not safe for our athletes. All of our athletes keep their positive attitudes as they practice hard everyday in the hope that one day they will have the equipment they need to make them better athletes who can get scholarships and the opportunity to play college football.

Our players will use this equipment to practice eye hand coordination which is very important in playing high school football.
