Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach amazingly curious, persistent, and passionate 7th & 8th grade students who love to read and discover the world!
We are a Title I school serving BRILLIANT scholars of color in the nation's capital!
We are a Summit Learning school, which encourages inquiry-based, goal-driven personalized learning!
My hope for my students is that they will own and direct their life-long education, become leaders & advocates in our community & nation, and be empowered to choose the adult life that makes them happy & proud

My Project
My school is at an important turning point: we've done extremely well in supporting our students' academic growth, but now we need to build our school culture.
Together, let's get our middle school EXCITED to come to school and exceed expectations, both academic and behavioral!
Let's show students that hard work, participation, and positive behavior are WORTH IT.
Our school has just implemented LiveSchool (a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports system wherein students receive points for all positive attitudes and interactions) and we need some AWESOME prizes such as pencil toppers, colored pencils and adult coloring books to get students invested and see the value of their efforts! These small and medium-level prizes will show students that everything they do is noticed.
