My Students

I work with unique population of students, with many different backgrounds, cultures, personalities, and needs. While they each have diverse needs, as a whole they have many social/emotional needs. I work hard to create a safe and supportive environment where students take charge of their own learning. I believe it's important for students to relate to the content and reflect on their learning, in various ways.

I am entering my 2nd year of teaching and I am excited to teach 5th grade in the upcoming school year!

All students deserve the best; help me make that possible!

My Project

Reading is such an important part of school and such a great way to enhance learning in all areas. Please help us build a 5th grade classroom library with these books that this population of students can relate to and connect with.

The books selected for our library will allow students to see themselves in the central messages and themes.

Some of the books will be used as read aloud and in literacy circles. I love creating a recommended section of books that students get excited about and often kickstarts their own taste in books. Our classroom and students deserve the best, help us.
