My Project
The 2024-2025 school year is an exciting one for my school district. This is the first year we will be using Apple products in the form of MacBooks and iPads. Each student will be supplied with their own iPad which is awesome! This will greatly benefit them in many of their academic courses, but for a math class, the iPads come with some limitations. Problem solving is a key component in my class and traditionally this is done using pencil and paper.
My desire is to decrease my district's carbon footprint by becoming a paperless classroom.
Without a stylus, my students will be required to use their fingers to draw their steps onto their iPads. I am requesting your generosity to help supply my classroom with 25 styluses that my three classes can share, so you will be ultimately helping 75 low-income students in my Title I district. The styluses will be used on a daily basis.
I have the pleasure of teaching gifted minds. My ninth graders will complete both Honor's Geometry as well as Honor's Algebra II courses by June of 2025 which is no small feat. With your help, I can supply my students with all the necessary tools to be successful.
