Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many students in my classroom have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
My students are my heroes.
Some of my students are battling life-threatening illnesses.
I get all types of critically-ill students during the school year. Sometimes I have students with end-stage renal failure. Sometimes the students have cancer. Sometimes my students have serious depression. All of my students are from low-income households. My students are the most inspiring people I've ever met. My students are brave. I work with students in grades K-12 who have serious medical issues. All of my students come to school ready to learn. It is a joy and a privilege to work with these students. Each day, they try their best in school while battling cancer or waiting for an organ transplant. Sometimes the students have been hit by a car or were in a car accident. Most of the students experience pain on a daily basis.
All of my students are a pleasure to work with. In addition to their serious medical problems, all of my students reside in high poverty neighborhoods.
My Project
I will use the printer to plan and print lessons for my students. None of my students have printers at their houses. My students are critically ill and most come from low income neighborhoods. I can create lessons and print them.
I can mail the lessons and instructional materials to my students' houses.
In addition, I need a printer that can fax information to my school. I also need a place to copy things for the students. During the school year, I create projects with my students. I print them and their families can keep them forever. The families cherish the projects that my students create.
